The live journey to Beijing ended for us personally on 20:08 20 08 2008 at the Club Lounge of the Hilton hotel in Shanghai. Memorable dates marked a historical games, and after 46 years of waiting, it was well worth getting to the games live in person. Watching the Bolt was awesome, soaking in the despair of China over hurdler Liu Xiang’s withdrawal was shared, and being there for Malaysia and Singapore winning their silver medals made us proud. Definitely a memory to be cherished.
